General notes:
Machining prices reflect average charges. Prices may vary
depending upon size quantity, specific materials' hardness,
and/or conditions. Threaded round tests bars are required
for stress rupture or elevated temperature tensile tests.
Sectioning prices will vary depending upon material condition
and size of the submitted test sample. Flats are machined
from ¾ inch wide x 8 inch long strips. Larger or subsize
specimens may be sectioned and/or machined at additional
cost.
Machining not listed will be quoted upon request. Prices
reflect average charges for R-1 through R-5 round specimens
or F-1 and F-2 flat test specimens per ASTM-E-8. Prices
do not include charges for sectioning, special grinding,
polishing, notching, threading, or where difficulty in machining
is encountered due to condition, size, or configuration.
Pre-machined or cast specimens not conforming to ASTM-E-8
specifications will be brought to conformance, or noted
on certification.
