| Failure Analysis and Testing Using the S.E.M. (scanning electron microscope) our staff is capable of obtaining a higher magnification and greater depth of field which will aid in determining
the mode of failure in a fracture. If needed the chemistry department, mechanical department and machine shop aid the metallurgist to ensure that our customers receive a professional
conclusion. CMS can provide results by email, fax or mail.

Handling of failed components is a priority. Take all precautions to preserve the fracture surface by wrapping the area carefully.
Our SEM is a JEOL JSM-T300 meets the diverse needs from
surface observation to 200,000x. The maximum allowable specimen
size is 5" diameter and 2" in height.
